Short Row Color Play using Double Stitch

Class Description

Explore an alternative to the traditional wrap and turn short row, the double-stitch or German Short Row is an easy to work, highly adaptable method for avoiding holes in your knitting when you turn mid-row. A world of color play possibilities opens when you start adding in new colors. In this class we will develop a working knowledge of double-stitch short rows in both stockinette and garter stitch while exploring their use in color-work. A generic recipe for working top down sleeves and a sock heel using short rows will also be provided and discussed in class. **Required Materials: Students should bring several balls of worsted weight yarn, some light, some dark, appropriate non slippery needles (sizes 6-8, preferably wood), and stitch markers**
